The primary challenge with this cake was how to convey movement while at the same time keeping everything stuck in place. I created a small dip in the centre of the cake to make it appear as if the boy had just landed. If the recipient had been a girl, I would have had ponytails flying up in the air, but as it was, I had to settle for arms in the air and a somewhat startled expression that was meant to be exhilaration.
After that, there wasn’t a whole lot left to do, since there’s just so much creative freedom you can apply to a trampoline.
