Do Groundhogs Eat Dried Fruit?

spring flowers

It’s Tu B’Shvat and spring flowers are on the way! Skeptical? Well, the near confluence of Groundhog Day and Tu B’Shvat provides almost incontrovertible proof. I mean, who wouldn’t take a meteorologist rodent’s word for it? For the uninitiated (or non-Americans) if, when the groundhog emerges from his burrow in Pennsylvania on February 2, he does not see his shadow, then spring will arrive earlier than expected. I know, counterintuitive.

While you’re working on that conundrum, why not kick back and enjoy this terrific film from 1993. It’s the perfect teshuva (repentance) movie and while Rosh Hashana is still 7½ months away, Tu B’Shvat is the New Year of the trees…..
