In honour of this week’s Jerusalem premiere of Gilbert and Sullivan’s masterpiece, Iolanthe, here’s a look back at a recent favourite.
While the Queen of England does not actually make an appearance in the show, there is a fairy queen, a Queen’s Guardsman, a bevy of beautiful fairies and some exceptionally handsome peers – myself included in both categories.
