Just when you thought there were no more possible engagement cookie designs, these sweet and romantic birds and flowers come along. Truth is, I don’t have much to tell you about these cookies. Yes, each one took a small eternity to decorate but you already knew that. But did you know that you too could learn to make these in one (somewhat long) but easy lesson? Didn’t I already mention this invaluable opportunity a mere six weeks ago? Well, yes I did but the timing was infelicitous, it being just days before the start of Pesach. If you were contemplating cookie decorating then, you’re probably also the kind of person who’s already baked their Shavuot cheesecake and moved on to thinking about Rosh Hashanah. No offense, but it’s people like you who make all the rest of us schleppers look bad.
In any event, these are the kinds of cookies that automatically transform your party table into a thing of beauty. Interestingly, I have found that many people don’t eat the cookies at the event, but rather slip a few into their pockets or onto a spare plate to take home to show the family. Perhaps they shellac them and mount them on their wall. We’ll never really know.
What I absolutely do know is that you could be making these for yourself as early as next week! Classes are available on an ongoing basis. You can take a private lesson and have my undivided attention the entire time, or come with some friends and enjoy a fun and productive afternoon or evening out.
Don’t delay! I’d like to say that the early bird gets the worm (particularly given the theme of the cookies featured here)
but there are actually plenty of metaphorical worms to go around.
