You don’t need to know anything about Star Trek to be completely freaked out by this guy. Actually, as opposed to numerous other subjects – Dr. Who, Star Wars, countless children’s television characters, Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles, poker, etc. – it turns out I that am quite knowledgeable about the Borg. They’re a creepy alien race who ruthlessly assimilate anyone they come in contact with into their collective (and I didn’t even (really) need Wikipedia to tell me that).
I actually found Star Trek: The Next Generation very entertaining, particularly the episodes featuring the Borg. In one, the crew capture a Borg man and name him Hugh – a missed opportunity I always thought, the most obvious choice being, of course, Bjorn.
