It’s a winter wonderland here in Jerusalem. Snow blankets the buildings and streets, the roads are impassable, trees have been uprooted – and no thaw in sight. I would like to pretend that I’m of good cheer – kids on an extended holiday, everything at a slower, more relaxed pace – but my imagination just isn’t good enough. Escaping the snow and ice wasn’t exactly the reason that I left Canada, but it certainly was a nice perk!
I prefer my snow to be made of coconut flakes, and my igloos of sugar.
The ice that this yellow dinosaur BJ is skating on was made by melting rock candy in a round cake pan and then waiting for it to re-harden. A Zamboni would not be amiss here to smooth out the surface, but luckily dinosaurs are known for their incredible balancing skills.
