Can you believe it’s Thursday? Shavuot stole Sunday from me and I’m still running to catch up. After over 20 years in this country, I finally think of Sunday as a work day. With one less day of work this week, everything’s been thrown into disarray. My heartfelt sympathies go out to those of you who live outside of Israel and thus were celebrating all day Monday as well. When ever did you find the time to bake your cookies?
Well, something’s got to give, and I’m afraid it’s going to be the back story behind these cookies. For one thing, there really isn’t one. A baby was born. We were joyful. And while I could prattle on about the symbols of babyhood – the carriage, onesie, baby bottle, etc. featured on these cookies – I know you don’t have time to waste on trivialities. You lost Sunday (and maybe even Monday)!
So check back in next week to hear the thrilling narrative behind the next masterpiece. Next week, I’ll have all the time in the world.
