Well if it isn’t Bing and Flop!
Wait, who? It’s yet another British television series aimed at the under-5 set. Guess which one’s the child character and which the child’s toy.
Wrong.
Neither is a toy. Bing, the child, is the larger one in the overalls and Flop, the small bunny is the carer (or nanny, if you will). Yes, this is confusing. In fact, here’s just one page devoted to this question.
Which naturally brings to mind the famous saying (Don’t look at the bottle, but at what it contains. A new bottle may be full of old wine and an old bottle may not even have new wine.) Pirkei Avot, 4:20.
Now Flop doesn’t look like much of a tippler but I think it’s safe to apply the lesson to bunny nannies as well.
